Learning Disabilities Partnership Project

We help bring together people who want to make things better for people with learning disabilities. We helped set up and support the Sister Act group and Wandsworth Word Up! newspaper..

   Sister Act Leaders Team advises the council, Learning Disability Partnership Board and PCT, among other committees. All members have learning disabilities or difficulties and we advocate or speak up for people with learning disabilities at every opportunity.

  Word Up is run by and for people with learning difficulties. With the support of WCA, we have published 3 newspapers, written a constitution, started a blog, opened a bank account, recruited volunteers from all over London and won the Vodafon World of Difference award.
